Overview

The Payroll Administrator & Office Generalist handles payroll processing, job cost entry, and general office support for a busy Nashville-based commercial painting company.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly / biweekly payroll and maintain payroll records.

Review timecards, job codes, deductions, and benefits for accuracy.

Coordinate payroll journal entries and assist with onboarding.

Support A / P, A / R, and job cost documentation.

Maintain files, order supplies, and assist with HR paperwork.

Answer phones, route calls, and support office operations.

Qualifications

2+ years payroll or bookkeeping experience (construction / trades preferred).

Experience with Sage 100 , ADP , and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs helpful).

Strong attention to detail, dependable, and team-oriented.

High school diploma required; degree preferred.
