JOB TITLE : POWER BI TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Position Overview :
We are seeking a technically hands-on Power BI Architect to lead the design and development of modern dashboards and reports as part of a migration initiative from legacy QlikView (on-premises) solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Power BI, best practices for dashboard development, and enterprise-level experience, particularly in IT services and domains such as finance, sales, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities :
- Power BI Architecture and Development : Architect end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data models, report structures, and dashboard designs. Ensure adherence to Power BI best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and usability. Define and implement a common theme and design language for dashboards, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational branding.
- Migration Leadership : Lead the migration of QlikView dashboards to Power BI, ensuring minimal disruption to users and improved functionality. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing QlikView reports and identify opportunities for enhancement in Power BI.
- Data Modeling and Integration : Design and implement efficient data models optimized for Power BI reporting, incorporating industry best practices. Work closely with data engineers to ensure data pipelines, transformations, and connections are robust and efficient.
- Best Practices and Standards : Establish and enforce standards for Power BI report development, including naming conventions, performance tuning, and governance. Provide guidance on security, role-based access, and data governance within the Power BI ecosystem.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with business stakeholders in finance, sales, and supply chain to gather requirements and deliver tailored dashboards. Act as a trusted advisor to IT and business teams, providing insights on dashboard design, usability, and analytics strategy.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing : Train and mentor team members on Power BI development and best practices. Drive innovation by staying updated with Power BI updates, features, and industry trends.
Qualifications :
Technical Expertise :8+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics, with 5+ years in Power BI development and architecture.Proficient in DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling techniques.Experience with enterprise-scale Power BI deployments and integration with Snowflake or other cloud platforms.Domain Knowledge :Solid understanding of finance, sales, and supply chain processes and KPIs.Ability to translate domain-specific requirements into actionable dashboards and insights.IT Services and Enterprise Experience :Prior experience working in large enterprises or IT services, managing complex BI projects.Exposure to cross-functional environments and collaboration with global teams.Soft Skills :Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement.Leadership and mentoring experience in a team environment.Preferred Qualifications :Knowledge of QlikView and experience in migration projects.Familiarity with other BI tools (., Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects).Experience with data governance and compliance requirements.Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent.This role is ideal for a Power BI expert who thrives in a fast-paced, enterprise environment and has a passion for modernizing and optimizing business intelligence solutions.
