Job Description

Join the team behind one of the most trusted nonprofit brands in the world. ALSAC is the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

Our paid summer internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a powerful mission : Finding cures. Saving children.

Internship Details :

Dates : June 1 August 7 2026

Schedule : Full-time 40 hours / week (MondayFriday)

Pa y : $14 / hour

Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college / university or May 2026 graduate

Internship Focus :

The Delta Area creates and executes best-in-class fundraising and awareness events to acquire and cultivate donors in W. Tennessee Mississippi and Arkansas . The Delta Area team focuses on funding the mission of St. Jude through Dinners Galas & Golf tournaments St. Jude Dream Home Giveaways youth and collegiate programs as well as fitness and endurance events like the St. Jude Walk and St. Jude Memphis Marathon weekend. This role will give the ideal candidate first-hand experience s that aid in the development of core fundraising and non-profit development skills.

Responsibilities include :

Campaign Development Support

Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies to activate participants and fundraisers

C reate promotional materials

Reimagine and assist with social media strategies to promote event s

Assist with recommitting teams

Assist with research and confirmation of teams from local groups and organizations

Engage with key team leaders to maximize support for fundraising initiatives

Event Planning and Management

Learn and execute best practices for fundraising dinners galas and golf tournaments

Support core event planning work and event logistics

Work in collaboration with a team to manage best-in-class fundraisers that engage and activate donor support

Volunteer Recruitment Cultivation

Develop and execute a plan to recruit volunteers for support of Area events

Build a year round stewardship calendar for the Delta Area cadre of volunteers that provides acknowledgement and appreciation f or their efforts.

Majors preferred : Marketing Advertising Public Relations Social Media Non-Profit Management Communications Social Sciences

Skills preferred : Strong written verbal communication skills Customer focused-mindset Marketing Promotions to include s ocial m edia .
