Job Details
Core Responsibilities :
Serve as a dedicated tax manager to a group of Investment Advisors and their high-net-worth client base
Participate in client prospect meetings alongside the Investment Advisor
Develop proactive tax planning strategies for clients and prospects
Conduct in-depth tax projections based on the client's investment portfolio
Serves as final partner reviewer on individual and business returns prepared by staff or outside partners
Leverage Salesforce to manage client engagements and due dates
Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices on behalf of your clients
Assist with training and mentoring for new hires and junior Team Members with the opportunity to grow into a team leader
Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area by attending professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis
Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Master's Degree in Tax, preferred
CPA or Enrolled Agent License
Combined 10+ years of experience in tax preparation (individual and business) and progressive tax planning and advisory
Experience working in a wealth management or family office environment a plus
Working knowledge of trust documents and tax law as it relates to trusts
High degree of empathy in interpersonal communication to build trust with clients, prospects, internal Team Members, and outside vendors / partners
Able to effectively present information and make complex concepts simple
Experience using Tax Software such as Lacerte
Experience in Salesforce, preferred
