Physical Therapist - Per Diem - Mercy Jefferson

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details : Location : Mercy Hospital Jefferson 1400 US Highway 61 Festus, MO 63028 Hours / Schedule : Days / Rotating Weekends / Holidays Per Diem

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy
• Licensure : Current / Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice
• Certifications : Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.
• Preferred Experience : Six months to one year experience is preferred. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
• Skills and Abilities : Must have general knowledge of evaluation and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses.
• Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements :

Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing.
