Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring an OK or compact RN license and AHA certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital
  • Night shift scheduling with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
  • Assignment length is 13 weeks
  • Care for a wide range of patients from simple to complex conditions
  • Duties include providing, coordinating, and documenting nursing care for an assigned group of ICU patients
  • Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products according to physician orders
  • Assist in minor diagnostic procedures and patient examinations
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care plans
  • Educate and communicate care plans to patients and families
  • Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • May require a 6-month break between contracts for returning travelers
  • Dress code and uniform policies to be provided by the facility

  • Active OK or compact RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Some computer skills necessary
  • Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
