About The Role

HP IQ's Wireless Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer with deep expertise in Wi-Fi standards and wireless software stack development. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of lower-layer protocols and hands-on experience developing, integrating, and optimizing wireless software to deliver industry-leading connectivity performance and user experiences. You will work at the intersection of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and emerging device-to-device transport technologies, tackling complex challenges in performance, reliability, and low-latency communication. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge innovations that are redefining how people and devices seamlessly connect across the modern enterprise.

What You Might Do

• Design, develop, and integrate wireless software features across Android, Windows, and embedded platforms, including SDKs, frameworks, and system services.
• Implement, optimize, and tune wireless networking protocols with a focus on enterprise-scale architectures and deployments.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot peer-to-peer technologies - such as Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Aware to deliver secure, reliable, and low-latency connectivity across diverse networking scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with wireless chipset vendors, industry partners, and internal engineering teams to align designs, debug system-level issues, and optimize end-to-end wireless performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex wireless behavior including performance degradation, QoS bottlenecks, interoperability issues, and security constraints in large-scale networks.

Salary Range : $140,000 - $225,000

Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)

The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
