Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients' cardiac health while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to evaluate cardiovascular health.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including ECGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac catheterization.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Provide education to patients regarding their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in various settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, and assisted living facilities.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance cardiology practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Manage acute pain effectively and provide support in critical care situations as needed.
Requirements
Must have Cath Lab or Stress Lab experience
Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.Current NP licensure in the state of practice; certification in Cardiology preferred.Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital settings is highly desirable.Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 / ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation practices.Strong skills in patient assessment, triage, and management of chronic conditions such as heart disease.Familiarity with telehealth practices and the ability to provide virtual consultations when necessary.Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.Experience administering botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments is a plus.Background in geriatrics or pediatrics is beneficial; experience working with developmental disabilities is an asset.
