Specialization : Surgery Thoracic

Job Summary :

The Mid-America Division is seeking a non-cardiac thoracic surgeon to lead our programs in lung and esophageal surgery.

Qualified Candidates :

Thoracic surgery fellowship and ABTS certification required
Broad skillset in thoracic surgery, a subspecialty interest is preferred
Ability to obtain licensure in both Missouri and Kansas

Program Highlights :

Offers the opportunity to be part of Sarah Cannon Cancer Network with the ability to collaborate with leading oncology experts nationwide

Position will be based at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas and Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri

Dedicated thoracic surgery team including experienced OR nurses, surgical technologists and physician assistants who specialize in thoracic procedures and complex post-operative care

Comprehensive surgical resources including advanced imaging systems, navigational bronchoscopy and specialized instrumentation for both open and minimally invasive approaches

Thoracic surgeons operate in two metro facilities with a robust and growing structural heart program anchored at Research Medical Center

Educate the next generation of physicians through our ACGME accredited cardiology fellowship program

Ability to participate in a full array of industry-leading, innovative clinical trials and contribute to the extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed publications
