We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact projects and maintain critical IT infrastructure. The role requires expertise in on-premises systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain on-premises Microsoft Exchange servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform advanced scripting tasks using PowerShell to automate administrative functions and streamline processes.
• Administer Active Directory environments, including group policy management and user account maintenance.
• Oversee virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) using VMware Horizon, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Plan and execute upgrades to Microsoft Exchange, including migration to Exchange Server 2019.
• Collaborate with team members to create and deploy Windows 11 virtual desktops before project deadlines.
• Conduct server maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure system stability and security.
• Implement and support change management processes as the organization transitions to enhanced systems.
• Monitor and manage server environments, focusing on command-line operations as GUI tools are phased out.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for IT systems, ensuring consistent operation and user satisfaction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, with a focus on on-premises environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Server administration and upgrades.
• Strong skills in PowerShell scripting and command-line operations.
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, including group policy management and user account configurations.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 administration.
• Ability to manage and deploy Windows 11 virtual desktops.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
