Overview :

We seek a passionate, customer-focused, and results-driven Sales Lead to support store leadership in driving sales, creating meaningful connections, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will thrive on building relationships, supporting a high-performing team, and ensuring every customer interaction is positive and engaging. You will embrace our “Culture of Kindness” and help create an environment with respect and empathy that fosters an authentic experience, building trust and loyalty within the store and community.

Responsibilities : Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement & Community Building : Act as a role model by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through genuine interactions. Support community engagement initiatives to strengthen brand presence.
  • Team Support & Leadership : Assist in training and developing team members, leading by example, and providing coaching and support to ensure team success.
  • Sales & Business Development : Help drive store performance by identifying customer needs, providing personalized styling recommendations, and contributing to achieving sales targets.
  • Product & Brand Expertise : Maintain deep knowledge of J. Jill’s products to support customers in making confident purchasing decisions.
  • Operational Excellence : Assist with store operations, including opening and closing store, visual merchandising, inventory management, and adherence to company policies.
  • Accountability & Problem-Solving : Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively address challenges with a solution‑oriented mindset, and support leadership in maintaining elevated customer experience.
  • Communication & Adaptability : Navigate various communication settings across different levels of the organization, adjusting messaging to fit diverse audiences.

  • Qualifications :

  • 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in women’s specialty retail.
  • Passion for customer service and building meaningful relationships.
  • Strong ability to support, inspire, and motivate a team.
  • Proven track record of contributing to sales and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing / pulling and maneuvering around store, hang / fold merchandise, ladder climbing, operate POS registers and other company mobile devices, occasionally operate trash compactor (where applicable), occasionally use hand truck, lift and carry up to 42lbs, etc.
