Locum Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunity in Altoona / Everett, PA

Location : Altoona & Everett, PA.

Position Type : Part time or full time.

Start Date : As soon as possible.

Duration : 3 months contract with extension options available.

Schedule : Sunday-Saturday 7p-7a are the main shifts needing coverage. There are also other potential shift times including 7a-7p and 9a-9p.

Pay Rate : Negotiable by phone.

About the Role

Seeking a dedicated and experienced emergency medicine physician assistant for two hospitals in the Altoona / Everett area. This is a locum tenens opportunity to provide high-quality care in a emergency medicine setting.

Key Responsibilities

Typically 1-2 patients / hour per provider per shift.

See patients, perform some administrative tasks (radiology review, blood work review when needed although generally performed by employed staff).

Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Pennsylvania state license

Minimum 2 year of emergency experience

Strong communication and patient care skills
