All while understanding that together we are even better.\n\nSchedule : Part Time\n\nShift : 7pm-7am with 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.\n\nLocation : Orlando location but must be open to covering the Altamonte Springs and Kissimmee locations when census requires.\n\nThe role you'll contribute : \n\nThe Registered Nurse Inpatient unit provides skilled professional nursing care and support to the hospice patient and family, including non-related caregivers, as ordered by the physician and in compliance with regulations and standards identified by the Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation, Florida Nurse Practice Act, and the National Hospices and Palliative Care Organization. Working as part of the interdisciplinary team, the Hospice Registered Nurse provides medical nursing care to alleviate physical suffering, and must also assess for and identify resources to help ease emotional and spiritual suffering of hospice patients / families. The Registered Nurse Inpatient Unit assumes responsibility for implementing the patient's plan of care in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The Registered Nurse Inpatient unit exhibits good stewardship of organizational resources, including financial and human resources. The RN Inpatient unit can be scheduled in any 3 of the inpatient units.\n\nThe value you'll bring to the team : \n
• Assesses and reassesses patient needs regularly to provide appropriate care.\n
• Educates patients and families on plan of care and any changes to it.\n
• Delivers critical nursing care to patients with complex health issues.\n
• Manages end-of-life care issues with sensitivity and professionalism.\n
• Administers and manages medications accurately and safely.\n
• Maintains accurate and thorough documentation per Medicare guidelines.\n\nThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : \n\nMinimum qualifications : \n
• Associate's of Nursing\n
• Active American Heart Association BLS\n
• Registered Nurse State Licensure and / or Compact State Licensure In Florida\n
• Valid in state Drivers License with current car insurance\n\nPreferred qualifications : \n
• Bachelor's of Nursing\n
