EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER Tecton Architects has an immediate opening in our Hartford, CT studio for an Architectural Designer. The ideal candidate would be an emerging professional with a background in architecture who is passionate about creating a positive impact through design. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in working in a collaborative environment, have a strong design sense with technical grounding, and be able to contribute to the creative process. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with employees splitting the work week between our Hartford studio and remote work. Responsibilities : Collaborating on and contributing to project design development, documentation, and construction administration. Performing daily design, BIM modeling, programming, and technical development of a project. Investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions that best meet client needs. Independently applying architectural design concepts and producing materials to convey those concepts to the team, client, and contractor. Qualifications : A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required. Licensure is not required. 2-5 years of experience in a professional setting are required. Internships and other work placement programs will satisfy this requirement. Sustainability accreditation is preferred. The ideal candidate will be fluent in design technology software, specifically REVIT. A minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit in an academic or professional setting is required. Advanced Revit knowledge is preferred. A portfolio that demonstrates a high level of skill in design thinking and presentation media is required.
