PERIOPERATIVE / PACU RN

DESCRIPTION :

Job Title : Perioperative RN

Location : Pagosa Springs, CO 81147

Shift : 5

Experience Required : Minimum 2 years

Using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach, the Perioperative RN works closely with the entire surgical team and may serve in one or more of the following roles depending on experience and training :

Circulating Nurse

1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse

2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse

Key Responsibilities :

Coordinate and deliver patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Provide patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.

Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team.

Maintain patient safety and quality standards in all perioperative phases.

Document care accurately in Cerner EHR.

Support surgical team in various capacities based on experience (circulating, scrub, or assistant roles).

Education & Training

High school diploma or equivalent required

Graduate of an accredited RN program required

BSN preferred but not required

Experience & Skills :

Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience

Experience in Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab

Experience with Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT procedures, and Interventional Pain Management

Cerner EHR experience required

Licenses & Certifications :

Current RN licensure in good standing

Current BLS certification (AHA)

Current ACLS certification

Current PALS certification

CNOR certification preferred
