Description :

Auto offer based on prescreen recommendation.

No operating room license is needed at the time of submission.

A 90-day emergency license can be requested upon offer.

Bed capacity includes nine Labor and Delivery beds, one operating room suite, two triage beds, and four postpartum beds.

The unit typically handles 850-900 births per year, averaging 2 to 3 births per day.

Ratios on the unit follow established guidelines.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and STABLE.

Common diagnoses and types of patients include labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, obstetrical emergencies, hypertension, and hemorrhage.

RNs are required to titrate drips, including Pitocin and Fentanyl.

Charge Nurse and House Supervisor positions are available.

OB technicians are present on the unit.

There is a 24 / 7 availability of OB / neonatology support.

The unit is equipped with two ventilators and two bubble CPAPs.

Telemetry is utilized on this unit, with RNs responsible for reading strips.

The electronic fetal monitoring system used is GE Centricity.

Shifts consist of 12-hour days or nights, following a yearly core schedule.

Weekend work is required every other weekend or based on seniority.

Holiday requirements adhere to the established contract.

There is a call or standby requirement for the position.

Floating is not allowed unless in emergencies.

Scrubs are provided and should adhere to the designated color.

Department-specific orientation will be completed for all new employees.

The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.

The charting system in use is Meditech.

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required.

The position is in an acute care setting.

Shifts typically run from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and STABLE.
