ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Alamogordo, NM 88310 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Emergency Department (ER)

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 1, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (multiple shifts available)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend days per 6 weeks

On Call Requirement : 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks

Floating : May be asked but unlikely due to census

Nurse / Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-5

Hourly Pay Rate : $80 / hour

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680-$1800

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA

Current TNCC certification

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Ability to attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire

Successful completion of organizational and Emergency Department-specific competency validation

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver routine and complex care to ER patients independently

Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and health management

Delegate tasks and assignments appropriately to other healthcare providers

Participate in annual competency verification and ongoing professional development
