Job description

About the Role :

The Residential Aide - Tier 1 plays a critical role in providing compassionate and consistent support to residents within a social assistance setting. This position focuses on ensuring the safety, well-being, and daily care of individuals residing at Casa Bolivar VII - La Quinta Hotel _FAM, 1090. The aide will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and promote a positive living environment. Through direct interaction, observation, and assistance, the Residential Aide helps residents develop life skills and maintain their dignity. Ultimately, this role contributes to enhancing the quality of life for residents by fostering a supportive and structured residential community.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of social assistance principles and residential care practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to resident safety and well-being.
  • Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience working in residential care or social assistance settings.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Training in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with documentation and reporting software used in social services.
  • Additional coursework or certification related to mental health or developmental disabilities.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Provide daily assistance and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Support residents with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Monitor resident behavior and report any changes or concerns to the supervisory team promptly.
  • Facilitate engagement in recreational and therapeutic activities to promote socialization and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and care provided in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Skills :

    The required skills enable the Residential Aide to provide attentive and empathetic care, ensuring residents' needs are met with respect and professionalism. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and the care team to coordinate support and address concerns. Organizational skills are used daily to maintain accurate records and manage time efficiently across various responsibilities. Preferred skills such as first aid and crisis intervention training enhance the aide's ability to respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or challenging situations. Together, these skills create a foundation for delivering high-quality residential support that promotes safety, dignity, and personal development.
