Building And Construction Estimator
Our client is a National General Contractor located in the Kansas City Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a nice backlog of projects going in to 2026 and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Estimator to their team.
Job Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy in estimates. Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. Track and manage project budgets to ensure alignment with estimates. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Provide regular updates and reports on cost estimates and project financials. Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to enhance estimation processes.

The Successful Applicant
Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred. 5+ years of experience estimating commercial and / or multifamily projects. Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications. Ground up project knowledge and experience preferred. Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Sage, MS Project. Quantity take-off and cost estimate experience.
