ID : 74002021 Shift : 07 : 00-19 : 00 Description : : Location : Summit Medical Center Address : 5655 Frist Boulevard Unit Name : PCU Building : Cost Center : 630 / 633 General Information Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 630 has 34 beds / 633 has 25 Patient Ratios : 1 : 4 to 1 : 5 on days, 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 on nights Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633 Type of equipment : bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care Documentation system : Meditech Scheduling requirements : every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week Floating policy : may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors Patient Experience requirements : hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards. Hospital Specifics- Certifications : BLS, ACLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set : Must have : Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred and peripheral iv skills. Advanced skills needed : ACLS. Experience with bipaps, high flow 02 and multiple oxygen delivery systems. Experience with stroke and post cardiac cath care. Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred. Experience with tube feedings and NG / dobhoff tubes. Procedures performed on unit : Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff / NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes. Trouble shooting wound vacs Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS Dress Code : (Required uniform) Black Scrubs Unit Guidelines / Policies : Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
