As an AMT Lead Faculty, you will supervise faculty and staff to ensure high standards of teaching and professionalism. The Lead Faculty will also be responsible for fostering a supportive and inclusive campus culture while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and FAA regulatory requirements. The position is an integral part of our student and staff success. The person selected must be able to multi-task, have strong coaching skills and have a willingness to help our faculty succeed in the classroom.
Secondary responsibility is to instruct.
- Required
- FAA part 147 / 145 Experience
- Aviation Maintenance A&P Certificate required
- Experience in Academic leadership, administration, faculty development and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of student development theories and practices
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in higher education / aviation administration
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with classroom / schedule utilization / efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to the overall mission and goals of the institution
- Proficient in using educational technology and software
- Basic Job requirements
- Airframe & PowerPlant Certificate
- Be able to pass a background check
- Be able to follow school and FAA part 147 procedures and regulations
- Supervise faculty and staff to ensure high standards of teaching and professionalism
Ability to instruct and work with students / employees with varying backgrounds and ages
- Instruct and control classes in a shop / lab, hangar, airport and classroom
- Ensure that all staff and students consistently follow safety protocols, particularly regarding PPE usage in laboratory and workshop settings.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds, work in and around aircraft in various positions
