URGENT HIRING – IT Contracting / Procurement Officer

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced IT Contracting / Procurement Officer with at least 5 years of specialized experience in IT procurement and public-sector contracting. This role is essential in managing complex IT procurements, negotiating vendor contracts, and ensuring strict compliance with state and federal procurement laws, policies, and best practices.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in IT procurement, contract negotiation, or public-sector contracting
• Strong working knowledge of multiple IT contract types (SaaS, IaaS, perpetual licenses, hardware / software agreements, maintenance & support, etc.)
• Familiarity with state or federal procurement regulations and processes
• Experience using State of Iowa procurement systems (Workday, I / 3, or similar tools)
• Professional procurement certifications : NIGP-CPP, CPPB, CPPO, or NCMA CPCM
• Experience working in a centralized procurement environment
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy requirements as they relate to IT contracts
