Job Description :

The Lab Operations Manager is responsible for managing laboratory services within Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). This individual is accountable for daily operations, regulatory compliance, personnel management, budgeting, safety, and production of high quality lab information within the area of responsibility. The Lab Operations Manager collaborates with Administration, technical specialists, and medical directors on major decisions impacting the system. This individual acts as a leader by developing an effective team, building constructive and collaborative relationships, and by supporting laboratory service line leadership goals aligned with the strategic imperatives in accordance with the organization's mission statement.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required : Based on technical function of the role hired within, see below :

• Cytopathology : Bachelor's degree in cytotechnology or equivalent.
• Transfusion Service and Clinical Services : Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent.
• Histology : Bachelor's degree in histology, biological science, or equivalent.
• Supportive Services : Bachelor's degree in a medical, health, business, management, or technical field related to the position.

Preferred / Optional : Based on technical function of the role hired within, see below :

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required : Five years' work experience relative to the technical function of the role hired within. One year in a leadership role showing demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team-building strategies.

Preferred / Optional : Three years management experience in a lab setting relative to the technical function of the role hired within.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
