Job descriptionCoverage Type : Call Only Setting : Inpatient (Hospital & Endoscopy) Schedule : 1 : 4 rotation, Friday 4p–Friday 4p (24-hour call with beeper) Start Date : Mid-December 2025 End Date : Ongoing Call Type : Beeper (overnight coverage) Credentialing : Start mid-to-late December EMR : Epic Patient Volume : 4–12 inpatient consults per day Patient Population : Adult only Consult Types : Floor, ED, ICU, emergent GI and endoscopy consults Required Procedures : Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic, therapeutic, biopsy, PEG, variceal banding / injection, foreign body removal, fulguration) - Esophageal Dilatation and Manometry - Small Bowel Biopsy - Lower GI Endoscopy (Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Liver Biopsy) EUS / ERCP : Not required Onsite Services : Laboratory and X-ray available Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Active Massachusetts medical license Certification : BLS required ERCP certification preferred but not required Rates : Facility is accepting bids Malpractice : Provided Travel : Reimbursed
