American National is currently seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Engineer II to join our team, ensuring our facilities are in top condition. This role requires a proactive professional with a knack for problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems.
Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
Manage maintenance projects, including contractor oversight.
Maintain records of maintenance work and equipment inventory.
Respond to emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely solutions.
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and conduct routine tests.
Monitor energy usage and implement initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Qualifications:
Education: A two-year trade school certificate in relevant fields (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is preferred.
Experience: Proven work experience as a maintenance engineer, with advanced knowledge of mechanical systems.
Certifications: Relevant state/local licenses (stationary engineering, HVAC) and OSHA/ACM awareness training.
Technical Skills: Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot complex systems, and perform hands-on repairs.
Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, occupants, and external partners.
