Job Summary / Key Responsibilities :

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting cost control and cost accounting reporting / bookkeeping functions within the organization, ensuring accurate cost management and financial reporting.

Essential Functions

• Monitors and controls expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Assists in the preparation and analysis of cost reports, budgets, and financial statements.
• Prepares variance analysis reports to highlight deviations of actual from budgeted costs.
• Reviews invoices and cost reports for compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
• Assists in month-end and year-end accounting closings procedures.
• Reconciles payable and expense accounts and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner; maintains and updates cost accounting records and documentation.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather cost-data, analyze them, and provide financial insights.
• Assists in identifying cost-saving opportunities and cost processing efficiency improvements.
• Supports internal and external audits by providing process narratives, documentation, backups, and explanations, as needed.
• Stays informed about industry trends and best practices in cost control accounting.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned by Management.
