Position Overview:
The Desktop Support Associate provides technical assistance to end users, supports daily technology operations, and ensures the reliable performance of computers, peripherals, and audio‑visual systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolves incoming requests for technical assistance using SysAid, Service Now, and other platforms.
- Assists users with account questions, password resets, etc.
- Provide front-line support for PC hardware, software, and network issues.
- Work hand-in-hand with vendors to coordinate hardware repairs, process returns, and manage warranty claims.
- Maintain proficiency in all applications utilized by the company.
- Document procedures, configurations, and resolutions for internal use.
- Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Support and manage conference room technology, including connectivity, display issues, audio problems, and system configuration.
- Operate and educate others in presentation equipment, including Logitech meeting devices (Rally, Tap, Sight cameras), and Crestron control systems.
- Install, configure, and update Windows/ iPad OS software.
- Diagnose printer, copier, and scanner issues.
- Assist with hardware deployments in an industrial/ production area.
- Strong emphasis on safety procedures and PPE compliance.
Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
– in IT infrastructure, desktop support, or technical support roles. - Strong understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and common enterprise applications.
- Experience with inventory management and asset tracking tools.
- Strong written documentation and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with AV systems, including microphones, cameras, conference room tech, Logitech devices, and Crestron platforms.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
