Field Service Technician

Location : Vista

Salary : $33 - $38 per hour (Field Service experience increases pay)

Travel Requirement : Willingness to travel out of state 75% of the time

Aerotek is looking for field service techs for a company that is a leader in security machines for travel they are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview :

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced inspection systems. You will troubleshoot technical issues, support engineering activities, and ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install and commission Mid-Energy Portals (MEP), Low Energy Portals (LEP), IP6500 Vehicle and Cargo Inspection Systems (VACIS), and Exploranium Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM) systems.
• Isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customer and factory locations.
• Work on equipment with minimal documentation, when necessary.
• Meet weekly project installation goals within deadlines.
• Support engineering activities during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment properly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure successful installations.
• Maintain clear and concise business communication, both oral and written.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions efficiently.
• Execute ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments with instructions.
• Foster effective customer communications and relations.
• Multi-task and maintain attention to detail in a field service environment.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, system manuals, and technical directives for troubleshooting.
