Position Description :

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking to hire an Applications Manager. The Applications Manager oversees the Applications Support operations and provides leadership for a team of 3-4 applications support analysts. Managing the schools Electronic Health Record, PACS applications and associated hardware, SQL databases, Oracle Database Appliances, Digital Dentistry software and hardware, this on-site role is critical for ensuring the highest level of customer support to over 1100 Faculty, Staff and Students, across 22 different clinics, including 9 satellite clinics.

Supporting patient care with over 120,000 dental visits per year, in various clinics across the county and state, our Electronic Health Record (EHR) is at the very center of everything we do in Dental Informatics. With a hands-on approach, reporting to the Director, you will be guiding a small team and playing a big part in creating excellence in Dental care, dental education and dental research.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management :

• Lead and manage the Applications team and evaluate performance.
• Recruit, train and support Application analysts.
• Serve as an expert level analyst and hierarchical escalation point.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, demonstrate a strong orientation towards customer service, and exhibit exceptional proficiency in reporting, supporting applications / databases and managing projects.
