Safety Manager

Plan, implement, coordinate, and assess hospital accident, fire prevention, and occupational safety and health programs under general direction of hospital officials, utilizing knowledge of industrial safety-related engineering discipline and operating regulations : Develops and recommends new procedures and approaches to safety and loss prevention based on reports of incidents, accidents, and other data gathered from hospital personnel for Consigli.

Essential Functions

• Conduct accident and incident investigations.
• Determine probable causes.
• Make recommendations for corrective action.
• Create safety committees or boards.
• Skilled at running accident prevention and fire safety programs for their employers.
• Provide employees with self-audit or safety inspection tools.
• Regular safety auditing and the reporting of results.
• Overseeing its safety self-audit and inspection programs.
• Maintaining accurate records of such audits.
• Encourage and create a high level of safety awareness within their organization, partially through use of safety self-audits.
• Good safety managers also must be skilled communicators so they can address workplace safety issues and programs.
