Job Description

EDMIS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities :

• Translate customer specifications and applicable standards into comprehensive production documentation
• Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection plans, checklists, and control charts
• Supervise a team of quality inspectors, including assigning tasks and providing training and guidance
• Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, identify corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and implement effective solutions
• Conduct internal audits of all departments to assess compliance with QMS requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Develop and maintain audit schedules and reports, document findings and corrective actions
• Maintain and update QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, purchasing) to drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency while maintaining a culture of quality throughout the organization.
• Support the preparation for and participation in external audits conducted by regulatory bodies or customers
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and identify trends to proactively address potential issues
• Investigate customer complaints, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications
• Train production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance.

Proven experience with inspection tools (Micrometers, comparators, etc.)

Proven experience conducting internal and / or external audits.

In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.

Strong understanding and practical application of 6 Sigma methodologies

Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bonus Skills :

Knowledge of optical inspection equipment

Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar certification

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
