This dynamic position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

We are looking for a technical writer to join our team! This role will be comprised of the following duties :

Responsible for the creation and update of technical orders and training documentation for the S2E2 program.

Products will include instructor guides, student guides, and other technical documentation

Works collaboratively with the engineering staff and SMEs to develop a product that meets the

instructional and technical learning requirements

Communicates development status and issues to the leadership to ensure accurate metrics are provided

Responsible for packaging and delivery courseware modifications

Ensures the product follows US English guidelines and complies with customer requirements

This is an Early career role, (level 2) where candidates will require a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications :

Experience with one or more of the following :

• Compiling technical data from various sources into a deliverable product that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
• Experience in applying instructional design best practices
• Time management skills with strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet assigned deadlines
• Must possess an active DoD SECRET Clearance

Desired Skills :

Experience with SharePoint as a user

Strong interpersonal and teaming skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment

Technical expertise and knowledge to develop technical solutions to complex problems

Experience creating training material

Excellent written and verbal skills including editing and proofreading

Ability to travel locally (up to 10%)

Ability to Work Remotely : Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,400 - $101,200. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
