We are looking for a Spot Welder 1 to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.

Second Shift : Monday-Thursday 3 : 30pm-2 : 00am

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Physical- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely or with assistance. Capable of performing manual labor for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Working Hours- Fulltime Employment (40+hrs / week).
  • Personal Traits- Good communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Must possess desire to learn new skills and dedication for continuous improvement. Great work ethic and punctuality.
  • Ability to work whole shift standing while operating a foot pedal.
  • Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Timely completion of job functions. Produce customer parts and products in accordance with the established safety, quality, and cost standards of the Company. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.

  • Spot weld parts in conformance with specifications and meet daily required production assignments.
  • Start-up spot welding machines with minimal assistance.
  • Work independently with minimal assistance.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction by working with department supervisor and lead.
  • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively to other individuals in the department as well as other departments.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
  • Follow and execute ISO Quality system procedures including, instructions on job travelers and control plan per ISO procedures.
  • Audit of materials and / or production parts before delivery to next operation area.
  • Maintain neat and clean work area.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to learn to safely operate resistance welding machines with minimal supervision on cold rolled steel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Possess basic math skills including ability to read and use tape measure.
  • Ability to learn the basics of resistance welding hazards.
  • Must be able to load and unload parts repeatably in fixtures while maintaining all cosmetic or quality standards.
  • Education and Experience

  • No experience required. Resistance welding experience preferred.
