Sous Chef

Spoon and Stable is hiring a  Sous Chef . This is a Full-Time, Exempt position.

We are looking for a driven, team-oriented culinary professional to help lead our kitchen as a Sous Chef. Must be able to learn from mistakes, cultivate a positive attitude through good and bad days, and hold to a culture of respect for all team members. Fine dining experience is preferred.

Responsibilities :

• Lead service and energize the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards during service.
• Coach staff to resolve issues in a productive and professional manner.
• Drive efficiency, ensuring scheduled out times are met.
• Step in to cover shifts or stations as needed.
• Plate on the pass and provide support to high volume stations.
• Ensure AM and station prep lists are filled out completely on a nightly basis.
• Ensure that all products are received and stored properly.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Contribute to menu development, develop specials, and work with leftover products to minimize waste and enhance profitability.
• Get familiar with vendors and ordering schedules.
• Properly follow health and sanitation requirements per the Department of Health.
• Other duties as necessitated by business demands.
