Authorization Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm and review patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services before they are rendered
• Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance companies for services, ensuring all required information is submitted accurately and timely
• Liaise with families, healthcare providers and insurance representatives to facilitate the authorization process and resolve issues that arise
• Maintain accurate records of all authorization requests, approvals, and denials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Follow up on outstanding authorization requests to ensure timely decisions and facilitate client care
