Radiology Technologist - PRN Position

In this role, you'll play a crucial part by performing both clinical and administrative tasks while ensuring adherence to our policies and procedures. Working under physician supervision, you'll engage in patient triage, care pathways, venipuncture, laboratory testing, and follow-ups, along with taking and transmitting X-ray diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities :

Capture high-quality images as requested, evaluating for technical accuracy and ensuring their proper transmission for interpretation. Assist physicians in patient examinations, treatments, and educational support.

Keep your credentials updated and maintain accurate logs for patient follow-ups regarding relevant health screenings. Ensure cleanliness and organization within the work area while promptly reporting any safety concerns.

Monitor equipment performance, reporting issues swiftly. Maintain and prepare treatment spaces, including cleaning and sterilizing necessary tools, and disposing of expired medications responsibly.

Document assessment results, create individualized care plans, and foster a respectful and cooperative atmosphere for patients and colleagues. Uphold MedStar's mission by providing exceptional patient care that builds trust and loyalty.

Assist in streamlining patient flow during busy periods and manage unforeseen patient volume fluctuations. Perform triage phone calls and follow up on lab results following established protocols.

Qualifications :

• Experience through externships in medical or ambulatory settings.
• Certification from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Possession of a valid Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• Current CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years in a medical office, with experience in electronic medical records advantageous.
• Completion of an accredited R.T (Radiology Tech) program is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited M.A (Medical Assistant) program is preferred.
