Psych Tech

Job Summary :

The SMH Psych Tech - CPEP role involves providing direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients on an individual basis. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN, and ensuring patients have access to required services. The Psych Tech communicates effectively with patients, informs the RN of any patient changes, and participates in rounds and group therapy as needed.

Responsibilities :

• Provide direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Support social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN.
• Communicate effectively with patients and ensure access to required services.
• Inform RN of any patient changes.
• Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed.
• Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
