Travel / Contract ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse - Nights - Up to $2550 / WK!

Newburgh, Indiana - 13 weeks

Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements : Valid Indiana RN license or license eligible
  • Certifications Requirements : AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Experience Requirements : Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, cardiac, or stepdown units
  • Other Requirements : Strong charting skills with EPIC, CUPID experience preferred; ability to pass tele interpretation and 12-lead EKG tests; must be able to manage arterial lines, cardiac drips, and post-procedure recoveries; effective communication skills, adaptability to floating, and a team-oriented mindset

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive ICU and cardiac stepdown nursing care to post-procedural and recovery patients, including post-Cath, EP procedures, PACU, and cardiac surgery admissions.
  • Manage and titrate cardiac medications, including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin, ensuring patient stability and safety.
  • Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and telemonitoring to assess patient cardiac status accurately.
  • Assist with invasive procedures such as radial artery sheath removals, TR band management, and arterial line management.
  • Float seamlessly between units as needed, providing excellent patient care and supporting team operations in cardiac, stepdown, and tele units.
