We are seeking a qualified Officer / Mortgage Operations Manager for our Residential Lending Department, located at our Administrative Offices at 99 Commerce Place, Largo, MD 20774.
The candidate for this role is required to have the following experience in Residential Lending :
Post Closing, Mortgage Lock Desk Management, Secondary Market
Knowledge of Encompass Loan Operating SystemExperience with the Optimal Blue Pricing EngineExperienced with ordering appraisals and mortgage insuranceOversee all aspects of post-closing functions to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant loan delivery to investors.Review closed loan files for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to investor guidelines prior to submission.Resolve any investor delivery conditions, trailing documentation issues, or salability concerns.Maintain ongoing communication with loan investors to track, reconcile, and troubleshoot delivery discrepancies.Ensure loan documentation aligns with secondary market and compliance standards, reducing risk to the bank.Identify trends in loan deficiencies and recommend training or procedural improvements as needed.Collaborate with Compliance and QC teams to resolve audit findings related to closed loan files.Develop post-closing checklists and procedures to strengthen internal controls and delivery timelinesMortgage Lock Desk Management :
Investor Delivery (including Fannie Mae delivery requirements)Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage lock desk, including rate locks, extensions, relocks, and pricing exceptions.Maintain pricing accuracy through Optimal Blue or a similar pricing engine, aligned with investor and market conditions.Provide guidance to loan officers on lock terms, pricing scenarios, and delivery strategyOptimal Blue Pricing EngineRequired education and experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in banking residential loan operations ();Minimum of five years’ banking experience in the loan department to ensure knowledge of production, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing.General knowledge of Conventional, FHA / VA lending and secondary marketing guidelines.Additional eligibility preferences (types), if applicable.
