Locum Tenens Opportunity : Physician - Family Practice near Oak Harbor, WA

Are you a dedicated Family Practice Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity? Join our dynamic healthcare team near Oak Harbor, WA. This position is crucial to support our community health center, offering a full-time role to provide outpatient family medicine services. This opportunity promises a competitive compensation package and a collaborative work environment.

Shift Details

  • Shift : 5x8-Hour Days (8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm)
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday
  • Lunch Break : 1-hour unpaid lunch break

    • Work Details

  • Support Staff :

    • Dedicated medical assistant for each provider

  • Receptionist
  • Mental health therapists
  • Dietitians
  • Onsite pediatrician
  • Local healthcare administrator for timecard submissions
  • Coverage Needed : Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Daily Patient Census : Up to 21 patients
  • Patient Population : Newborns to geriatrics
  • Department Description :

    • Community Health Center

  • Experience with or interest in working with vulnerable populations
  • Services for migrants and refugees with interpretative services available
  • Providers not required to be bilingual, but it is a plus
  • EMR System : EPIC
  • Special Procedures : Basic procedures including injections, IUD placement, minor wound care
  • Skills Required :

    • Expected to hit the ground running

  • 1-week ramp-up with onsite orientation
  • Begin patient care by day 3

    • Practice Setting

  • Type : Outpatient ambulatory setting - Community Health Center

    • Travel Logistics

  • Travel Expenses Covered : Flight, rental car or mileage, and lodging

    • Requirements

  • Board Certification : BC or BE
  • State License : Active WA license required
  • DEA Certificate : Active WA DEA required
  • Certifications : To be discussed at the time of credentialing. Providers will be responsible for obtaining required certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS)
  • Experience :

    • Minimum of 2 years of outpatient primary care experience

  • Must have a clean background with no malpractice issues
  • Must have recent face-to-face patient contact
