Texas Nursing Job Details Location : Webster, TX 77598 (Houston metro area) Unit : Cardiac Stepdown / IMCU / Progressive Care Assignment Type : Travel RN Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7p-7a) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per assignment Number of Beds : 10-bed cardiac stepdown unit Patient Ratios : 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 Electronic Medical Record : Meditech EMR Scrub Color : Blue Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1360-$1460 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Texas or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent experience in IMCU, Progressive Care, or ICU-Stepdown nursing Current ACLS and BLS certifications Experience with Bipap, trach vents, and cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Heparin, Cardizem, 3% Saline) preferred Familiarity with chest tube insertion procedures is a plus Flexible, positive attitude and strong clinical skills Ability to float to IMCU / Stroke department as needed Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a 10-bed unit Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac therapies and interventions Administer medications and manage cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, and Cardizem Operate and monitor Bipap and trach vent equipment Assist with chest tube insertions and other cardiac unit procedures Document patient care using Meditech EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a flexible, team-oriented, and positive work environment Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel RN job in Webster, Texas!
