Descripción del trabajo1-year Accounting Certificate plus 1-year equivalent experience. Hands on experience with computerized spreadsheets (preferably Excel) 2-year degree in Business or Accounting Accurate and detail-oriented Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows Strong project management skills Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Above average math skills Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to remain focused for extended periods of time Treasure Island guest service training Any position-related training as determined by department manager Must be able to sit for long periods of time with occasional amounts of walking and standing Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel Must be able to reach and twist routinely Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination Work is performed in the administration building but may require going onto the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays Extensive computer use Occasionally overtime may be required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly reconcile Tribal Tax & prepare Tribal Tax Return.
- Monthly reconcile revenue versus expense for comps, coupons, point and inter-depart.
- Research credit card charge backs
- Reconcile monthly assigned general ledger balance sheet accounts.
- Review and submit travel agent commissions for payment.
- Run month end reports for revenue auditors to verify cover counts, discounts and charge sales and charge tips.
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist in quarterly inventory.
- Learn all procedures within the various audits as assigned
- Assist Assistant Controller Hospitality with updating policies and procedures as needed
- Assist Hospitality Revenue Audit with assigned audits.
- Complete projects for management as needed
