Position Overview :

The role of a Paramedic is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. In this position, you will provide both advanced and basic patient care in accordance with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess each emergency situation to determine the most effective course of action and protocols to follow.
  • Utilize a range of medical equipment and procedures such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluid delivery to provide advanced medical care.
  • Employ triage skills to maximize efficiency during emergency responses.
  • Deliver patient care based on clinical protocols and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Assist with lifting and moving patients as necessary for optimal care.
  • Communicate effectively with medical facilities to provide critical patient information and receive direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned as outlined in the formal job description.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • California Driver's License and Ambulance Driver's License.
  • Medical Examiner's Card or DL51.
  • Active State of California Paramedic License.
  • Current CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, health care provider; no handwritten cards accepted).
  • Current ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY; no handwritten cards accepted).
  • PALS or PEPP certification (only required for specific county applicants).
  • Clean driving record in compliance with AMR policy.
  • Completion of FEMA ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B).
