Description
Behavioral Health Respite Team Leader; LSW or LPC
Compensation : $50,000-$55,000.
Position Summary : Are you a licensed social worker seeking to expand your skills into a macro role? The Behavioral Health Respite Team Leader may be the opportunity you are seeking! NYAP is seeking individuals who have an interest in working with multiple organizational programs, including the afterschool and summer camp programs, and managing the Behavioral Health Respite team.

Responsibilities
Provides mentoring, case consultation, and support to respite team staff on a daily basis.Travels as needed, to provide and support the provision of services to youth and families.Matches Youth with BHR staffScreens BHR referralsCoordinates, facilitates and monitors services for the youth and families in the community, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, independent living, crisis, and social services.Coordinates overnight behavioral health respite with foster familiesEstablishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.Supports and assists program staff in family reunification and / or stabilization efforts with the youth's primary family orother permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth's case plan.
Guides and supports program staff safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required toassure safety and stability for youth served.
A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hoursSupports the expansion of BHR programs to additional countiesMinimum Qualifications
Degree in social work, or comparable human services field, from an accredited institutionA valid professional license as preferred; LSW or LPC.Must demonstrate a sincere commitment to the service and advocacy for youth and families2 years of experience working in direct service with youth and families required.Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as wellas software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
