Position Overview

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Associate, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and essential nursing care. You will assist in the assessment of residents upon admission and continuously monitor their condition. You’ll maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) regarding any significant changes, document assessments accurately, and seek guidance when necessary.

Your duties will include :

• Responding to call lights and assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Participating in the resident care planning process and timely updating health plans as necessary.
• Implementing nursing interventions including medication administration and treatments safely and effectively.
• Administering IV fluids and documenting all interventions accurately.
• Utilizing critical thinking skills to respond to changes in residents’ conditions.
• Keeping calm and professional in crisis situations such as family disputes or adverse environmental conditions.
• Monitoring residents' care closely to ensure care plans are followed effectively.
• Identifying problem areas and using the QAPI process for prompt resolutions.
• Completing at least twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education annually.

Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work at various Bethesda Health Group locations, including Rehabilitation, Long-term Care, Memory Care, and Assisted Living, adapting to different care settings as needed.

Qualifications

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $40.00 per hour.
