Senior Sales Business Development Manager

Location : Remote (U.S.)

Compensation : $90,000 to $130,000 base + Bonus + Competitive Benefits

About the Role

Join a cutting-edge Managing General Agency (MGA) focused on transforming the commercial trucking insurance industry through innovation, technology, and unmatched customer service. We’re seeking a Senior Sales Business Development Manager with a sharp entrepreneurial mindset and proven sales leadership to drive revenue, expand market share, and build a repeatable, scalable sales engine.

This is a remote, high-impact role ideal for self-starters who thrive in fast-paced, startup-like environments and know how to turn vision into results.

Key Responsibilities

Drive New Business : Lead the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—within the commercial auto and trucking insurance market.

Expand Agency Network : Identify, recruit, and onboard retail brokers, agents, and distribution partners nationwide.

Strengthen Broker Relationships : Provide training, support, and ongoing relationship management to empower agents and boost production.

Achieve Revenue Goals : Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Provide Market Insights : Gather and relay broker feedback and competitive intelligence to inform product development and market strategy.

What We’re Looking For

Insurance Sales Expertise : 5+ years of experience in sales or business development (10+ years for the Senior Manager title), preferably in commercial auto or trucking insurance .

Proven Track Record : Demonstrated ability to close deals and scale distribution networks .

Entrepreneurial Drive : Independent, resourceful, and proactive; thrives in environments where processes are being built.

Excellent Communication : Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills to effectively connect with brokers, partners, and stakeholders.

Industry Knowledge : Understanding of the commercial P&C insurance landscape , especially the needs of trucking and transportation clients.
