The Paramedic responds to medical emergencies and provides advanced critical care during the transport to the hospital. As the first healthcare provider at the scene, the Paramedic partners with firefighters and police in evaluating the situation. The Paramedic offers basic and advanced life saving support, administers treatments, and directs EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification.

We are seeking a Paramedic for our Transport Services Team. As our Paramedic, the primary duty will be the safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on the Transport Services' Ambulance. Delegated tasks may include :

• Responding to EMS Call-Center requests, prioritizing patient care, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and facilitating transport appropriately.
• Functioning with the free standing Brandon Hospital Emergency Departments and the main Brandon Hospital Emergency Department.
• Collecting and conveying information to both team members and the attending Physician regarding the health status of patients.
• Providing care in the out of hospital setting, serving as the primary care provider during interfacility transports.
• Assessing, planning, implementing intervention, and evaluating the appropriate level of patient care.
• Maintaining competence in thorough patient care documentation and use of both EMS PCR and ED software.
• Performing EMS hand off reports at facility destinations and reporting appropriately to nursing staff and ED physicians.
• Ensuring readiness of ambulance and all associated equipment for service.
