Construction Client Service Specialist Sr

The Construction Client Service Specialist Sr provides expert loan administration in support of the most complex credits and relationships in assigned Construction Lending administration team. Duties include serving as an admin team liaison between operations and the CP team, vetting new builder applications for review / approval prior to loan applications, and obtaining and analyzing builder information necessary to satisfy HNB builder acceptance and approval risk requirements. The role also involves identifying risks and exceptions, monitoring contractual requirements, and resolving and communicating material issues associated with assigned loans. The specialist is expected to solve problems and resolve issues while maintaining positive communications and relationships. They initiate builder contact upon receipt of the acceptance package and review Huntington Bank Construction policies after closing but before the draw period begins. They create and update a database for builder information and maintain a builder scorecard outlining the number of approved projects, percentage of on-time completion, and determination of builder worthiness. The specialist may also act as a team leader and mentor CPA loan administrators. Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree and at least five years of credit experience. Preferred qualifications include experience analyzing data to formulate decisions, excellence in customer service, and strong mathematic, analytic, and organizational skills with attention to detail, planning, and follow-up. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, along with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality. Must be available to work 8 am to 5 pm Central Time and / or Mountain Time.
