Position Summary :

NYCB is seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This individual will be the first point of contact for end-user technology issues and play a critical role in maintaining daily IT operations, supporting hardware and software, and managing user accounts in Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for staff via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and peripheral issues on Windows and Mac systems.
  • Perform user account creation, modification, and deactivation in :

Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • Vonage Hosted Phone System
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks, including device setup, email provisioning, and permissions.
  • Support desktop image deployment, updates, and software installations using enterprise tools.
  • Monitor system health alerts and respond to endpoint security or performance issues.
  • Maintain and organize IT inventory (laptops, monitors, peripherals, tablets, etc.).
  • Escalate advanced issues to infrastructure or network teams when appropriate.
  • Assist with IT projects and infrastructure upgrades as needed.
  • Qualifications :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • or 2+ years experience in a desktop support, help desk, or IT support role.
  • Solid understanding of Windows 11, MacOS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively.
  • Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (or Azure AD).
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., ManageEngine Endpoint Central).
  • A+ or Microsoft certifications (MD-100 / MD-102).
