WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Sterile Processing Technician for a local contract job in Glens Falls, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift : 8 hours, evenings

WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech   for a state of the art health care system in Glens Falls, NY.

Job Function : \n

  • Evening Shift.

    • \n

  • 3pm to 11 : 30pm.

    • \n

  • Dissembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles and packages sterile supplies according to specifications and / or manufacturer instructions.

    • \n

  • Follows department procedures to use appropriate sterilization method for various types of instrumentation.

    • \n

  • Operates washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and additional equipment during sterilization procedures.

    • \n

  • Adheres to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.

    • \n

  • Covers and rotates trays and sets per sterile storage guidelines.

    • \n

  • Follows safety protocols to ensure no injury to self / others (proper body mechanics, protective apparel during decontamination procedures, etc.)

    • \n \n

    Job Requirements : \n

  • High School Diploma or GED.

    • \n

  • Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

    • \n

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterilization technique, infection control requirements, and a basic knowledge of med / surg procedure terminology.

    • \n

  • 1 year of Sterile Processing Tech experience is required.
